Villa LadyM is an exclusive residence in Dubrovnik, set in a Mediterranean garden just minutes from the UNESCO-listed Old Town and the most beautiful beaches of the Dalmatian coast. Its bright, carefully curated interiors combine the charm of traditional stone with contemporary comfort.
The heart of the house is the huge living room, opening onto the dining room and the kitchen: the perfect place to gather after a day in town. Outside, 500 m² of Mediterranean garden with a barbecue. The four bedrooms have fine linens and air conditioning, with 3 bathrooms across the two upper floors, where the bedrooms are.

From the house to Pile Gate: 10 minutes on foot downhill, 20 back up, 3 minutes by car.
Location
A kilometre from the Old Town is a distance chosen, not endured: close enough to walk inside the walls every evening, far enough to sleep in silence and to have a 500 m² garden instead of a courtyard.
Staying inside the walls costs you in two currencies: the real one and noise. In summer the old centre stays full until late at night, and houses within the walls have neither gardens nor parking.
From here you walk out for dinner, come back whenever you like, and depend on no one for a lift. Our insider guide tells you where people from Dubrovnik eat, which is not where the tourists eat.
Gorana's father lived in this house until recently. She has lived abroad for twenty-five years and, whenever she came back to see him, she would lock every door out of city habit; he always pointed it out: «We are in Dubrovnik, life is still good here.» Locking up is still worth doing, but in the evening you walk home from the walls without needing to look over your shoulder. One minute's walk from the house, almost directly opposite, there is a large paid public garage. It has spaces even in August.
If you don't know Dubrovnik that line will read like a detail. It isn't. The old centre is entirely pedestrian, parking spaces nearby are very few, and in high season circling to find one is one of the things that ruins holidays here. If you arrive by car, or rent one for Cavtat, the Elafiti islands or Montenegro, knowing where to leave it changes your day.
Banje beach is 2 km away: the best known one, with the view of the walls and of Lokrum. From the villa's terrace you get a glimpse of the sea through the trees, and the garden with the barbecue is where most evenings end up.
The nearest restaurants are 500 metres away and the supermarket 800. For a house sleeping 8-10 that matters more than it sounds: with a real kitchen and shopping within reach you can eat in the garden instead of booking a restaurant every night, which in Dubrovnik in August is also a financial decision.
Dubrovnik airport is 20 km away, around half an hour by car. People flying in usually take a taxi or a transfer; people driving from Croatia or Montenegro find the garage a minute from the door.

The villa was huge. We were a family of 7 and we had plenty of space. The villa was immaculately decorated and had everything you needed. The gardens were beautiful and we spent time eating in the garden/bbq area. The host was wonderful, met us at the villa and made sure everything was ready for us. Wonderful stay, can't praise it enough.
